Degree Show Poster

Our end of year Degree Show was something we decided to put on as we wanted our course to be remembered as originally starting in Hastings. Myself and course mate, Rowan, were the main organisers of the show. We found and booked the gallery space, and created the poster and brochure. This was my final design for the poster, however its not the exact one that was sent to print. The idea was the poster would fold down and be double sided.

Project development

Bellow are some of the original designs we mocked up as posters. We wanted to keep the posters colour and typography based so they didn't seem specifically catered towards Graphic Design or Illustration.

We wanted the poster to originally be double sided and folded, however there wasn't enough money in our budget to get the posters printed professionally double sided, so we settled with them just being folded. The idea behind this was so the posters could slot into the brochures and people could take them home and put them up in their homes as a remembrance of the show.

I put together the brochure for the show, which included gathering everyones information and images, then putting it together on Adobe InDesign and proof reading everything before sending it off to print. The process taught me a lot about finalising my work and how to create a package to send off to a professional printers. We have 400 copies printed which were given out at our show in Trinity 7 Gallery, Hastings and Edward Street, Brighton.

Below are some photos from the opening night which show our exhibition in full swing. The night was a real success and many people came to visit the show including local artists, University lectures, parents and locals.
