Illustration

These are a selection of my most recent illustrations. I like to hand draw with fine liner and scan in my drawings, which I can then edit on adobe Photoshop. I love to combine my own illustrations with my graphic design work as I feel it adds a personal touch. I would consider my style of illustration very diverse as I can draw just about anything in various different styles.

Since August 2016 I’ve been undertaking free lance commissions of drawing peoples pets. It started up when one of my best friends mum asked me to draw her two golden retrievers for her husbands birthday. After getting such a good response from her I decided to put the picture on social media and create my own page on Facebook and Instagram. This has been really useful as its consequently let my work reach a lot more people resulting in more commissions.

For my illustrations I use watercolour as a base and then fine liner too mark in the details. I like to keep the backgrounds as minimalistic as possible, just so the attention is kept on the pet. I think this works with my style of drawing.
